Grappling to keep it all together…
Your family, spouse, career, house, friends, and reputation…
There are so many obligations… so much pressure!
With all the busyness and expectations of life, it’s harder and harder to keep up.
You seem to have it together on the outside, but…
On the inside, you’re chaotic and on edge. It feels like you’re falling apart.
All the activities you used to enjoy now feel like yet another burden.
The people and things that used to fulfill you are now falling by the wayside.
Honestly, you feel so bad that you don’t know how you will make it.
Individual therapy is your lifeline!
We’ll start with an assessment where I’ll gather important points you want me to know. I will be present with you and your concerns and help you reflect and process them as you share your story with me. I will help you find space and words to face and share anything troubling you.
Individual therapy is an extraordinary relationship based on trust and collaboration. We’ll form this relationship together, which will be as unique as your life.
A big part of what I do is help you see your strengths and summon the confidence you need to examine and understand your life.
I know that unburdening your difficulties can be challenging, but I’m here for you.
Here’s what it looks like…
Therapy with me is experiential. I may lead you through an exercise that helps you see an issue more clearly. Or we may do an activity focused on what feelings are happening in your body as you reflect on your challenges. Along the way, I’ll give you tools you can use outside the session to help you feel better.
We’ll spend a lot of time exploring your feelings and the parts of your life you’ve put a lot of energy into avoiding. By giving them attention and compassion, they’ll become less frightening and loosen their grip on you.
Over time, themes will emerge as we untangle your feelings, beliefs, and circumstances. You’ll experience the complexity of your relationships and who you are.
With these themes in mind, I will offer you strategies to process, address, and integrate your past into the person you are today. This is when you’ll start noticing you feel different about life!
You deserve to feel better!
It’s a heavy burden… fearing that the turmoil inside will somehow leak out.
In truth, you know you need to think and feel differently about yourself – for your health and the benefit of your family and loved ones.
Nothing could be more important, so asking for help is right.
You may not know where to start, and you may not know what you need. But that’s okay! We’ll figure it out… together.
Give yourself the time and attention you need to heal!
